District 1 is the place you want to be in Saigon although I hear that District 3 is popular among French tourists. In District 1, most of the major tourist attractions and night clubs are within a 10 minute taxi ride. I would only go to this park to either chill out, workout, or safely cross the street- some people would consider crossing the streets of Saigon to be an extreme sport.
At the completion of my workout I sat down on a bench to take a breather, my heart rate was still elevated. This cute Vietnamese broad approached me, struck up a conversation and sat down next to me.
