I know someone there which is why I'm thinking of stopping over but won't bother if it's a pit with nothing of interest there. I also heard it hardly had any girls aged there as they've all gone to work in tourist areas in bars!
Any truth in that? I've never been, but Phetchabun province has several national parks and waterfalls that might draw visitors. It is also the area that has the best tamarind in Thailand. I think they even are being harvested this time of year. I was also told by a friend from there that they grow a lot of weed.
So you might be able to get high and eat tamarinds if that interests you. Phetchabun have a many tourism in winter. Arch if the young girls of Phetchabun hear that your coming to their cute little Town i'm sure that they will up there jobs at Nana plaza etc and be on the first bus home for hansum man I can ensure you that there are thousand of young women in Phetchabun - Phetchabun is not synomynous for its nightlife or women who go to work in the tourist nightlife!
Petchaboon is a cut above most up country Thai towns, the province is physically more attractive than most. You have Pa Daeng res. The National Parks are in the hills that enclose the valley of the Pa Sack, which is where the main towns are located.
