According to the warrant, Alexis Nadal-Machado, of Divinity Street, who was 21 at the time, picked up the victim and two of her friends at a grocery store parking lot after they left the neighboring Pulaski Middle School on June 7. The victim told police she and Nadal-Machado were messaging each other on her way to school that day to meet up, and they had been messaging each other for about two months, the warrant said.
Nadal-Machado told police when they questioned him that he said he would give the victim his iPhone if they had sex and tell his girlfriend he lost it, the warrant said. The victim told police Nadal-Machado said he was 16 or 17 years old. Nadal-Machado then drove the victim and her two friends to Willow Street Park after picking them up, the warrant said. The two friends got out of the car and went into the park area as Nadal-Machado and the victim made their way to backseat of his Toyota Carolla, where the act allegedly happened.
Police became aware of the incident after one of the friends told a school staff member what happened after he asked where they went, the warrant said.
The mother of the victim told police she wished to pursue charges against Nadal-Machado. Nadal-Machado was charged with second-degree sexual assault, illegal sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16, use of a computer to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity and misrepresentation of age to entice a minor.
